Everybody knows my first love is scrapbooking (outside the really important stuff like God and family). But, I share my love with another...writing. I just really enjoy the art of combining words to create descriptive pictures or to evoke powerful feelings. And it's not just the words...the rhythm can be just as critical in achieving the author's objective. If I had lived during the Renaissance, I'm sure I would have honed my iambic pentameter skills in lieu of Photoshop. I was a popular "editor" among friends in college...an A was just a Krystal away.
These days, I just don't seem to have the time to enjoy the writing process as much as I would like. Yet, there are times when the warm fuzzies manifest themselves in a quickly written paragraph. Just the other night...more like 4 in the morning...I threw together the description for our Culture Challenge on my creative block and ended up with something that actually inspired me. Irony at its best.
The best part? I get to use it on a layout...two loves joined in perfect harmony.
