Homage to the Lettuce Wrap

I personally hate Chinese food. Got food poisoning eating some pepper steak when I was about 20, and I can't even walk past the bell peppers at the grocery store without feeling like I'm gonna puke. But, my sister-in-law has this obsession with PFChangs (hello greasy and salty, right?), and wants to go there every year for her birthday. There are lots of times when I will go out despite not liking anything on the menu (ie Olive Garden for my daughter), and I will happily just socialize and drink my water. There is no way, no how that I'm ever going to step foot into a smelly Chinese restaurant though. Guess I'm a big party pooper!

This layout is for my SIL. It features a NEW release by Cori Gammon today at ScrapArtist. Not only is it 20% off today, but there is a free add-on when you purchase it before Friday.

Too Funny. I thought I would never meet a more picky eater than myself until I met you. Hands down you beat me. I don't eat any vegetables and have to know what is in everything, but I can usually find something on most menus I will eat. Great non photo layout by the way.

I'm sure your sil has already told you but PF Changs is an "upscale" Chinese restaurant. It's not the stinky cabbagey stuff you get in a little box. I'm not a huge Chinese fan either but I went there with dh for his birthday and was pleasantly surprised. Not greasy - much more health food oriented. Their big thing is their table-made specialty sauces. Plus, there are a lot of just plain american dishes on the menu. Just in case you change your mind and want to give it a try ;) I personally thing they're overpriced.

OMGoodness, Krystal.... I feel like Homer Simpson "ooooooooooooo" when I hear PFChangs lettuce wraps mentioned! LOL!!! They are my FAV-O-RITE!!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them, lol.... Chris is right, there are lots of "normal" things on the menu though. I really love the layout - in fact I want to print it out and hang it up where I can look at it every day, LOL!

Well, since I grew up on Chinese food (being Chinese) I'm quite partial to it... but I understand the aversion to it after having gotten food poisoning. I feel that way about Arby's. I don't ever want a roast beef sandwich from there again. Its not all greasy, though- what you get in the restaurants is what people pay for and expect, but at home we ate simply and healthfully.

Mmmm. I LOVE PF Changs, especially the lettuce wraps. I lived in China for a semester in college and so I obviously had Chinese food :). And truthfully some of it was awful. But PF Changs is pretty upscale and oh, so yummy! Cute layout :). I'll check out the kit as I need to work on that China album someday soon.

LOL! We don't have PFChangs in Canada so I'll have to save my judgement until I've tried it. Love the layout!
