Round 4 Is Freaking Me Out

So, should I make it to Round 4 (looks promising at the moment), here's the deal: We have to create a kit of 20-30 pieces AND sell it for $5 per kit through the Digitals store. All proceeds will go to a charity of my choice, and the winner is determined by who sells the most kits.

What kind of stuff do I need to do to put in this kit so that people want to shell out $5??? I'm dying to get your input. The theme can be ANYTHING. I'm guessing it should be universal enough to appeal to the most people.

...so freaking out.

If you can create whole albums for LT I'm sure you will be great at this.
I'm excited to see what you create and will buy it for sure.
You are leading by over 60 votes. Yeah for you!

I've only been at this for three weeks, but I've noticed that the elements people seem love best are the ones that are easy to use with a lot of different looks. For example, photo corners. Or photo frames. If anything is too specific, it's not as popular because it only appeals to a few people who like that style.

A few personal opinions: I love flowers, but I'm really tired of seeing digital flowers. I am impressed, however, with good quality digital ribbons. ;)

I don't know if these ramblings will help or not... I'm excited to see what you make! ;)

Krystal,

I have been trying to vote but it says I can't vote or download. Any thoughts? I did register.

I would suggest looking at some of the purchased items to see what has the most downloads. This might give you an idea of what the tastes are for this particular group of scrappers. you might also be able to attract two groups of people if you include a quick page along with different elements.

Hi Krystal
I'm just getting around to my voting and wanted to pop in on your blog to wish you the best. I love what you did for round 3. I have 2 boys so I tend to lean more towards the boyish kits....but to be honest most of your round 3 submission could be used for anyone. That I think will be the best way to go to sell the most....since you all will have equal amount of items in your submissions I'd have to say that chosing the right colors and elements are going to be your selling point. I agree with one of the previous posters who suggested checking out the "popular downloads" in the store and check out the elements and what's hot right now. Good Luck...

My SIL who is a consultant for TLC guided me over to you for this comtest you are in and I am glad she did. You have some great talent. My suggestion would either be halloween or something that is related to the carity you choose.Like someone else said the elements need to be vrey realistic. check out paint the moon designs at thedigishoppe.com Great realism. Good Luck!

I love your designs, and voted for you. I can't wait to see what you submit for Round 4! :)

My 2 cents on the kit - of course generic enough it appeals to everyone (your boy kit was great becuase it could be used for girls, family, pets, anything). For me, if I'm paying, elements must be very realistic. And a good variety (not 4 exact photo corners just rotated, or 10 exact buttons just recolored). Flip through one of the latest digi mags - things that seem popular, paint swatches, glitter, postage stamp edges, swirly doodles, funky circle stamps, grungy frame borders, etc.
I am sure you will do GREAT! Don't sweat it, do your best, and trust in teh Lord for the outcome.
I wish you all the best!

I tell you what - If it is anything like your last kit. I will definitely be buying it...lol...Oh WHO AM I KIDDING - I already have it on reserve...lol
I think a kit like that that is universal, will sell really well. There are NOT ENOUGH boy kits out there, but that isn't what EVERYONE is looking for ya know.
I wish you the best in your decision and no matter what you choose to do I am sure it will be FABULOUS!!!!
